I think that would be a pretty cool idea Dave. I want to see the event continue kicking ass. I've only made it to the last two events but I had a blast both times. Its all about good times with friends, car talk and racing. I'll be there every year they have it whether I'm still in PA or or across the country.

Bringing this over from another thread...... If you decide to do a "big money" class...Can there be 2 possibly....

For instance.... For the Q16--$500/$1000 buy in... 75% to 1st 25% to 2nd...

Then a smaller buy in fee for an Eliminator style class... Maybe $200... Same payout....75/25...

I'm sure there's some quick 10-11 second cars on a smaller budget that would get in for better competition...

Just throwin an idea out there.... I like everything the way it is now.. But it sounds interesting...
    95 AWD-auto
    EVO3 / 450cc / 255pump / Hard pipes / MLS-ARPs / 3" c-b .

Precision Billet Converter 3500 stall/ IPT end clutch kit/ IPT valve body.....All on the way....

    DSM LINK is next..

I am willing to listen to idea Lonnie but I do not wish to turn this race into a big buy in to run your car.

Some guys struggle to pay to get here, hotels, fuel, race car and then pay $35 to race.

Last year the smaller classes still go $500 to win, $250 for second and 3rd place was $100, many classes with a tie for 3rd. So about $1,000 per class plus the trophies, that is a decent pay out for a $35 entry fee. I am pretty sure we paid $1,000, $500 and $250 to the Q16 class. What a lot of these guys aren't thinking about is, you have to win to get paid. If you never win you have no idea what the pay out is.

    Just for the record

I am against any buy ins

I cant and wont do a buy in

It costs enough to just make the race - I am just hoping I can afford to pay for the gas and hotels to get there

I could care less about the prize - its the community and comradery that brings me back every year

Al, if I do a class with a buy-in it will be by popular demand and it will be a stand alone class. I will have the normal classes and normal Q16. If someone wants to get into a gamblers race we will have a Q16 Gamblers race.

I am NOT changing how the current Q16 is set up.

Yep, I made a big mistake and didn't bring the evo last year, it was difficult to sit on the sidelines and just watch but we had a great time.

I'd like to put it on the dyno also just to see what it's doing...I have a few minor fuel supply issues to work out between now and then but I hope to have that fixed this month.

I'm damn sure going to run it at full tilt when I'm up there.

I added some new information to the first post about Ron Shearer from Shearer Fabrications sponsoring the Q16 again this year.

Ron deserves a big thanks from anyone interested in running the Q16 class as he has stepped up with a $4,000 purse to use in Q16. This will require NO additional buy-in on anyone's part, just the $35 standard race entry.

Thank you Ron, not only do you build the best turbo kits on the market you are a hell of a guy for stepping up for the racers!

Shearer Fabrication has put up $4,000 for Q16.

AWD Motorsports has just put up another $1,000 for Q16.

AWD Motorsports has also just put up $1,000 for Evo Eliminator.

    Exedy has put up $1,000.

Exedy has put up a Stage 1 clutch for B1.

Exedy has put up a Stage 2 clutch for B2.

Forced Performance is on board now, the will be backing the DSM Stock appearing class with the winner getting a new FP18G6SL2 turbocharger, this is a $700 turbo.

That combined with the payouts I made in 2008 puts this winnings for this race at OVER $11,000.

Exedy's money goes into the payout pool somewhere, undecided as of right now. I want to see how the other classes go.
