I hear that I'm 6'2'' with a gut and long girly hair. I'd wake up and be hunched over all day with a birds nest atop my head. I was thinking about tricking a friend into bringing his Avalanche so we could put our feet in a covered bed and heads on pillows where the back seat goes :P.Originally Posted by Spoolin0nYou

DSM STOCK APPEARING (DSA) -> Stock location headers OK.
EVO STOCK APPEARING (ESA) -> Stock location headers are OK.
vs
EVO X Stock Appearing (SAX) -> No headers
I'm setting up my Evo X with one of those new Garrett GT3076r Bolt on turbos and was wondering why the Evo 7-9 (and DSM) can run Stock location headers where as the Evo X is limited to no headers in their stock appearing class? I was looking into some stock location headers that may even utilize the OEM heat shield so it would literally look very stock. The turbo also uses the stock heat shields so the larger housings would be very hard to spot as well but would rather know if it is considered a "Stock appearing turbo" ahead of time.
It's not the end of the world either way but if stock location headers bump me into 10 sec car land I may just stay with an extrude honed exhaust manifold and do some dyno comparisons when I upgrade.
Thanks for putting on these great events year after year!

Thanks for looking into this and making the Stock Appearing classes consistant!Originally Posted by David

I dunno if im going to run the car down the strip.. I will be cutting it close to being finished before the event. I really do not know if i want to put abuse on the motor that fast. Im sure the bugs will not be worked out by then either. Im going to have to play this one as each day comes..

I'm pretty excited about the shootout this year as i'll be taking my new toy, the Evo. The past few years I've taken my old 2g and other misc dsm's I've owned in the past, it will be nice to not have to worry about a broken dsm.
See you guys there!
