Fuck E-town!!! Had a great time this year and it was nice to talk with JROD and finally getting to talk to Dave a little. The hell with the heat I had $1 ice cream.

EDIT: After looking on dsmtalk and dsmtuners the only shootout being talked is the real shootout that took place in Ohio. Looks like the only people really saying any thing about NJ is Lucas Racing but who gives a shit about them anyways.

Shep's Evo was running 9's. I think he took 1st in Evo Eliminator? Maybe it was 3rd?

It was a great weekend, and a great turnout with great friends!

Friday night was a lot of fun. We were staying at the EconoLodge...and it was silly biz.

Saturday I made it out to the shop. Walked around a bit, said hey to all the familiar faces, etc...then headed up to Cedar Point. I haven't been up there since my first Shootout, so it was nice to hit the coasters. Even if I was still drunk from the night before. lol

Saturday night was fun. I think we finally got rid of the clowns from a few years ago that were causing trouble. (nabr) Cops were nice. No reports of any real problems from them.

Sunday I got a nice sunburn at the track. Got my $1 pound of ice cream. Carried my huge cooler full of beer to the top of the grandstands as usual and enjoyed the shade which watching the fastest 4 cylinders in the country make some great runs!

    364 days and counting.

Mike - I think my head is still hurting from all the shit I drank with you guys this weekend at the hotel!

This is probably my 6 or 7th shootout and was easily the biggest. I have never seen that many cars at the track or in the staging lanes. Hell, the 2 bracket class lanes were all the way around the corner!!

I also got to see a lot of people I've met and talked with over the years. This really is a great event and brings the community together. Unfortunate a few haters had to try and bring it down.

I had a good day racing. Got lucky in the first round and took out Dave (PlayaZ). We both bogged hard off the line....I just got lucky and made it to the end first. 2nd round, I knew the guy had a good setup and I had to have my game face on. I tree'd him by ~.14 seconds, banged the gears as hard as I could and had my best ET of the day. Unfortunately as soon as I got in 4th gear, I looked over and he was creaping around me. I think he got me by ~.2 seconds on the big end.....so lost by .0xx seconds.

It was getting late, so I packed up the car and headed home. Yup, drove it 300 miles there, ran a few 10 second passes and drove it home 300 miles. I think that's the 8th time I've done that drive since I had the car built by BR. Shows what a competant shop can really do!

I've taken my car to the track 3 times this year and it's been running quite a bit slower than last year. 138MPH is my fastest MPH this year and last year the car would go 143-145MPH all day long. I know the motor is still good (good compression numbers) so I'm going to pull the turbo kit (have the header coated again) and the intake manifold and redo all the gaskets/vacuum lines/etc to make sure all the boost is going to where it's supposed to!

All and all, great event, great people, great time! Can't wait for next year!

I think a lot of people refused to drink with me on Saturday night after the shenanigans on Friday night.

    (Dan, Will, Mullen)

Fireworks are a bad idea. Ask Shearer. lol

And the ones that drank with me on Saturday night refuse to drink with me ever again. lol

Nothing better than waking up to a bed getting thrown on you.

Oh, according to the sidewalk chalk in front of Tim & Eric's door, you guys suck each other off.

You guys impress me Tim! You, Tim and Eric have driven the crap out of your cars, never been on any trailers and have all three ran 9's with the cars, it is for sure impressive. Glad you had a good time, we all did too.

I want to thank Dave and all the guys from Buschur for another great shootout! The best one I've been too yet, wasn't there another event that day somewhere?? Would've fooled me haha! It was nice to bs and put some forum names with faces for a change. Although it was blistering hot saturday I plopped my ass at the shop saturday from 9am till they closed the doors, awesome time! The only low point of the weekend for me was walking into a Curt Brown bare ass trap to the face...
I'm not too sure how everyone else felt about the class, but the test n tune class was a great class for me run my car for the first time in a year (last years shootout) without worrying about competing.

Thanks again guys! Can't wait until next year!

I hope everyone enjoyed the Shoot-out Shirts this year. It was an honor to be able to make them for the event. Although I am not sure how the black did for everyone in the 120* sun.

Yeah what were you thinking Allen? LOL Black was a bit warm this weekend. I know I was dressed in ALL black Saturday and a black shirt on Sunday out in the sun ALL day.

Great job on the shirts. Be sure to stay in touch. Im sure we could work together again next year. We got everything we ordered AND.... it was all spelled right. You definitely saved me time this year without having to do the design like I normally do.

I have no idea what was going through my mind. It was almost like someone was whispering in my ear "black shirts, black shirts...." lol.

It would be an honor again next year to design and make the shirts.
