I wanted to run the M/T Drag radials on Project White to see if it would sixty foot any better, 1.60 compared to the 1.65 but also with a talented driver in the seat

Thanks for the good input on the event, the entire weekend was blessed with great weather and good times.

Brian, I heard a rumor today that the RS is going on the lift first thing in the morning, if that happens it will be the best thing. If not I'll call you.

I'm hoping to see that 8 second pass with the RS long before the August Shootout Al. Maybe this coming weekend, if not it will be hitting the track weekly until it happens.............the time has come.

A lot harder to do as a spectator. I have made a vow that I will race one of my own cars at this years shootout.. It will be my 10 year aniversary for DSM shootouts, so I suppose it is time. I dont care if I have to bracket race my 2g ha! Hopefully I will bring a handfull of Evos/DSMs with Buschur parts/my engine building and or tuning.

Sorry about the RS David. It is still an amazing car, that has definitely saw its fare share of abuse. I still feel like I jinxed you! Im keeping my mouth shut next time!

The auto.. I have been telling people autos are where its at for years. The dsm community is really begining to get the hang of the auto transmissions. I past up an entire auto set up last year, and im a little bitter about it! Now there are 2 locals that will beat me to the punch!

And of course cant forget the Neons, Jamie Carter's Supra, and the other fast cars! Pretty good time!
glad we where able to come to this event. I was pretty consistent all day from 10.3-10.50 just could not get a good 60 foot. My car will hopefully be in the 9's soon. The car right now has made a best pass of 10.10@142 and yesterday broke my own MPH record with a 143.4! I missed 3rd gear against the fast little Orange Civic that ran a 10.6 against me. Check my time slip and was on pace to run a 10.3x! Would of been me and the other Black SRT in the finals of FWD. Thanks Dave for doing this event its fun to be able to run at this event.

I can't wait to see Curt car back in action it sucks that it broke yesterday but it will be stupid fast at the Shootout! See you guys there as a spectator.

David and all the guys at BR, thanks for putting on the event. I had a great time as usual! Except this time I got to take home some hardware!

I think the fastest run it had was a 14.95 or 14.92.

Yep it was there. Made a 3 passes at the end of the day. Best was 14.95 @ 96mph. Stock tires, nothing removed from inside (even had some crap in the trunk), 100% FULL tank of gas (like maybe a half gallon missing out of it).

The drive by wire SUCKS ass! Bottom line. The car would lay over between shifts like it had a big laggy turbo on it then come back on power and go.

This weekend was the first time I have been down the track in almost 2 years. It was the first time in about 6 years in anything that slow. Haha

The car left "good", minimal wheel spin, no hop, consistent 2.1 60 foot times on all 3 passes.

The thing needs tuned. Once we get in the ECU.... ITS ON! The car feels good on the street and its definitely up from stock no doubt about it.

The car got a TON of looks this weekend.

I would like to see AEM offer a EMS for the Genesis. Thier STI box is simply amazing for the DBW- just like having a cable throttle.

Just got back from my meeting with Summit Motorsports Park. The event was a great success and had the largest growth it has seen since it's start 4 years ago.

    763 Spectators

    87 Racers

    8 car show

This was enough growth to look into the future of the event and we have already scheduled the event for 2010! May 22nd and 23rd, 2010.

I have made some changes for the 2010 event already and have stuck a new thread about it.

Please check it out and post comments if you wish.

Thank you all for coming out!
