Cant wait to get it back! Unfortunately it will be no quicker when I get it back as it is not getting tuned. No one around will tune via speed density - So I will be doing it come December when i get back.

Something went wrong, the worst part for me anyway was how it was just one thing after another all day long. I do want to say thank you to David for going out of his way to take all day to get the car to run, letting me use his shop to install new injectors, letting us keep the car at his shop and everything else that he did for us.

Yes, it made quite a few pulls. David spent all day working out an issue with his ECU. The car was knocking like crazy and David had to pull all the timing out of it to get it to acceptable counts of knock. The car died about a mile away from the shop on the trip home. I can say that there either is a defective part in the motor or something was not properly installed/checked during installation. I believe the car made 397 hp 356 torque but those are just a guess off the top of my head as I can not remember what the exact number were. This was on 93 octane with extremely low timing advance, as in under 4 degrees advance.

    Build once - build right.

We will see what happened eventually - Its sitting at Buschurs next to vwjeff's so its got a buddy for the holidays. =)

Only opening the motor and checking things out will tell what ultimatly happened, and until then - these things just happen - cant blame any one.

Man that sucks! I don't see drop-ins listed anywhere in your build thread here, what did you go with and when were they installed?

Good luck, def keep us up to date on the details!
