    None. Simple answer.

Everyone at that level has upgraded to a twin. The only singles that will hold that leve(or more)l are ATROCIOUS to drive. ACT extreme, or an Heavy duty with a puck setup. A very rugged fidanza 4.5 or 5.4.. again puck with ceramic or kevlar pucks..

A 2600 will hold and be the last resort I would ever use on a single disk'd clutch. Once you pass that level.. you have come to play with the big boys. Maybe an 2600 pp with a sprung 6 puck if your on the edge - but again.. not the most fun to drive.

I use the fidanza 4.3(thats what Will meant instead of 4.5). It held 550whp on the dyno just fine.
when the customer goes to get tuned and the tuner says who sold you this POS cam or intake or FMIC it wont ever be my name said..-Mike@awdmotorsports

I was looking into the 4.3. With the S259 turbo with a mitsu housing, I don't think I'll make over 500hp. I've been driving it with a Competion 6 puck in it for two years, so I don't think puck clutches are hard to drve with.

Ever get stuck in stop and go traffic? They get hot and angry!

I have flopped from disks, to pucks, to twins, and back again. The right twin -- fx600...--- is supposed to be the gentle giant for the 1g's.. nice on the street.. shifts fast and holds well.

Hows the 4.3 on the street? I would have guessed that 550 on a mustang would have put that clutch at the limit of its abilities.

I was in a lot of stop-n-go traffic with the comp clutch, didn't have any problems.

+2 on the FX600. It is by far the best DSM clutch I have ever driven.

Not everyone. My car with driver weighs 3006 pounds ( not light by DSM standards ) and I run a ACT 2900 with a street disc. It has about 35 runs on it this season. Best E.T. was a 10.11@143, best 60' was a 1.41. I tried a QM twin disc and hated that clutch! I promptly removed it and put a ACT back in. Estimated WHP is 600+. I think the pedal feel is fine.

Theres always that one exception! haha Is yours a puck? disk?

I liked the 2600 - and hated the twin. But I knew that the twin would help improve shifting.

diff car, but i LOVED my ACT 6puck unspring HD for my srt-4. no lock out issues on my car revving to 8k (stock is 6200). pedal never gets hot, soft, or any of that when in california traffic (some of the worst in the country for sure!) 500+hp.

im now stepping up to the FX700 TD, but theres no doubt in my mind, if you WANT a single disc, a ACT 6puck is the way to go.

to prevent lock out get it unsprung. if you want the lightest single disc setup, go 4puck unsprung. it wont last as long as the 6puck tho.
    DRASTIC.

Iv heard of several people using the ACT 2900 with 6 puck to hold power. They are said to be good up to 600HP and under 8000RPMs but dont expect them to last long. Im looking at over 600HP when my build is finally done with a PTT. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Any one used a single disk feramic clutch in a dsm? I know they work very well in the supra's.

Well I guess most other clutches have been plugged here, so I'll put my 2 cents worth in.

The 2700 lb 6 puck ceramic (sprung) from Competition Clutch is a great clutch for your power level and works very very well for street and track. A couple years ago we took one upto 580 whp before it let go. They have a great pedal feel, much lighter than the ACT 2600 and we also saw improved 60' times over the ACT.

Yes not everyone. We have an ACT 2900 that has been tweaked to about 3200-3300. We use the 6 puck disc and it works great. The car dynoed at 840 before the bigger intercooler and cams. The car weigh 2750 with driver and can pull 1.39 60'. Best time 9.28@160.9.

Actually they hold up great. We had factory axles until after the end of the 06 season. We broke one then and upgraded to the DSS bars. The previous breakage was back at the 03 shootout. The drive shaft has never been a problem. The transfer case was a problem in 03 and 04. It would break if the tires bite hard in second gear. We upgraded to the DSS/Shep transfer case and drive shaft and haven't had a problem since then.

I went with an ACT 2900 with the new solid hub street disk last year. Pedal feel wasn't as stiff as I expected and held the power just fine, if I had to guess I was probably around 400 or so. I only made one pass last year and ripped up an axle seal, but its a nice clutch to slip out of the hole.
