So I need to pick up a wideband but not sure if I should get an aem uego or an autometer cobalt to match all my other gauges, anyone have experience with either?

I have the aem unit and it works great. I have had to replace the sensor a few times though due to running race fuel ALOT.

I have the AEM and it works pretty good in my opinion. The units from PLX devices and Innovate Motorsports also come highly recommended.

I use the AEM UEGO but I have also used the Innovative brand wideband. Both are very good, but I LOVE the UEGO, so easy to use and install.

I dont have experience with either wideband but AEM and Autometer are of course great products. I use the Zietronic wideband and it works great and easy to use.

I use the Innovate lc2, won the wideband shootout by a long shot, its the most accurate that there is.

Im in the market to buy one as well.... I've had 2 UEGO's...I like the big Innovates, just cause you dont have to hardwire them in. You can use them on other cars... But if your cigarette lighter dont work like mine, then what? I've also noticed that there aren't any 2 5/8ths" gauges... Only 2 1/16th"... I did see one big gauge on amazon, but it was a digital readout kind, and blue like a cobalt gauge yuk.......... I got 2 things on my parts list for this car... Meth, and a wideband...

a word of advice, to get longer life out of your wbo2, let the sensor warm up before starting the car. this allows the element to heat up to its proper operating temp. this helps to dramatically lengthen the life of the sensor itself. it helps burn debries off before they become deposits, which is what causes the sensor to read incorrectly. a good wideband controller/display/gauge will show when the sensor is heated to operating temp.
go with innovate products. lc1 is great, dependable and customer support is great. xd16 displays heater warm up.
aems have a tendency to not read correctly with other logging systems other than their own.
zeitronix is also a good one for tweekers.
i liked my plx, but it lost calibration over time.
autometer i have no experience with.

Isn't the Autometer only a narrowband O2 sensor????

Actually, you NEVER want to let a wideband heat up before starting the car, it will destroy the O2 sensor in short order!, the reason is that you will have a blazing hot element and then when you start the engine you will push water (moisture) onto the hot element and crack it.

my lc-1 FREQUENTLY requires recalibration. It goes in to its uncalibrated mode and bounces between 7.3 and 21.7 indicating it must be calibrated.. this happens about every 2 weeks.

Problem with that is that you are running a wideband that is out of calibration and is inaccurate and you wont even know it!, the Innovate while a pain sometimes because of its pickyness has on board self diagnostics that will flash out a trouble code when it sees a problem, where others will just give you the wrong information and not care.
