    Default Tuning E85

Ok so I am going to a dyno day on saturday and I wanted to be able to be tuned on E85 by then. I have read through hundreds of pages on evom and feel I have an understanding for what is needed.

Right now my AFR's are: Spool ~ 12:1 tapers to 10.8:1 Peak TQ: 11.1:1 stays between 11-11.2 till redline.

My timing starts off at 14 then goes down to 5 by 3500rpm and makes its way back up to 15 by redline. Peak TQ timing is 7

I know I need to lean out my afrs to stay around 11.8, then adjust my timing accordingly until I reach MBT and dial it back a few *. I have read that at peak timing should be a little lower and then I can ramp up the timing to redline.

I also have an understanding of injector scaling and latency.

    Any addional comments or suggestions?

Only problem I'm having is my load vs rpm for afr's dont match what my wideband logs. For example at 6200rpm I logged 260%load which should be 9.6afr on my map but I logged 11.1:1. Any ideas to why this is, it puzzles me....

    Thanks, Aaron

Careful when trying to hit MBT when tuning with E85, you cna actually go past it quite easily without encountering knock... Also your fuel map is just a representation of a value that you can visually understand in order to change the AFR

as fast freddie stated the "AFR Values" are not literal. there are ways to make the number closer to what the actual AFR are but its pointless to do it just for the sake of. depending on build and use of the car you can lean the car out a tad more. on MY personal stock trurbo, stock cam, stock IC and piping evo i aim for 12.1 at peak boost and told about 12.0 to about 6000 then drop to around 11.8 by redline. a peak of 30psi then a rapid taper (due to a bent WGA) to 20psi by redline.

and it is true be careful with timing. im hitting 5* @ peak boost and around 21-22* (evo 9) by 7500. when adding timing throughout the RPM range try to avoid large increases of timing from one RPM to the other. if using V7 tephra you can dial it in very well.
