coolant temp sensor leaking

I have never messed with my coolant temp sensor nut recently have smelled small amounts of coolant and concluded that it is coming from that sensor... anyone else ever have this problem.and do I need to buy a new one or should a try tightening it slighlt or maybe some sealer tape first.

i am currently having the same issue i was hoping i could get some answers in here for my corolla. btw what happened to your car stevolution? please share me things that you did. i just wanna avoid my dealer for expensive repairs especially there expensive coolant temperature sensor. thanks in advance i hope you reply.

Nothing yet i'm going to be upgrading my turbo soon and i will be replacing the coolant hoses and i think im either going to replace the sensor or wrap it in some tef tape and see if it help any..unless anyone has any other ideas.
